Kristin Cavallari’s Dating History: From Laguna Beach to Now
Kristin Cavallari has been a prominent figure in the public eye since her teenage years, with her relationships often making headlines since her debut on reality television. From her high school romances to a high-profile marriage and subsequent flings, Cavallari’s dating history reflects her journey through various stages of her life and career.
Stephen Colletti
Kristin Cavallari’s first widely recognized romance was with Stephen Colletti, documented during their high school years on the reality show “Laguna Beach” in 2004. The MTV series, which ran until 2006, captured the couple’s on-again, off-again dynamic. Years after their initial breakup, Cavallari and Colletti reconnected professionally to host a rewatch podcast titled “Back to the Beach.” While working together on the podcast, Cavallari noted that they became “really close,” but clarified that there was “nothing romantic happening with us.” She also publicly apologized to Colletti for cheating on him during their tumultuous relationship.
Talan Torriero
During the filming of “Laguna Beach,” Cavallari was also romantically involved with co-star Talan Torriero. Cavallari admitted to cheating on Stephen Colletti with Torriero, who was reportedly also having a fling with Lauren Conrad at the time. She recalled on her podcast, “I don’t remember cheating on you. I know that we had talked about maybe I did with Talan.” When Lauren Conrad later appeared on their podcast, she confirmed that she too was “hooking up with Talan,” to which Cavallari responded, “We all were.”
Matt Leinart
In her late teens, at the age of 18, Kristin Cavallari dated football player Matt Leinart while filming the second season of “Laguna Beach.” Although she did not reveal his surname on the show, she later spoke fondly of the USC quarterback on her podcast, calling him “the nicest human being on the planet” and “such a great guy.” Leinart later went on to play in the NFL for teams including the Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and Oakland Raiders.
Brody Jenner
Prior to starring together on “The Hills,” Cavallari and Brody Jenner, son of Caitlyn Jenner, dated for approximately a year, with their relationship eventually ending. Over a decade later, they briefly reconnected in 2021 when Cavallari made a guest appearance on “The Hills: New Beginnings” reboot. Jenner commented on their reunion, stating that it felt like “no time” had passed and praised Cavallari for her professionalism in reality television.
Nick Lachey
In 2006, following his high-profile divorce from Jessica Simpson, Kristin Cavallari was briefly linked to 98 Degrees member Nick Lachey. Despite their short-lived romance, the two appear to be on good terms. In 2014, while Cavallari was a guest on Lachey’s “Big Morning Buzz” show, they humorously discovered that both of their children shared the name Camden.
Nick Zano
From 2006 to 2007, Cavallari was in a short-lived romance with “What I Like About You” actor Nick Zano. During their relationship, Cavallari reportedly got a tattoo of Zano’s initials on her wrist. However, after their breakup, she had the tattoo removed.
Justin Bobby Brescia
A significant storyline for Cavallari on “The Hills” involved a love triangle with Justin Bobby Brescia and Audrina Patridge. However, Patridge later claimed in 2022 that the on-screen romance was fabricated for the show, alleging that Brescia “worked with the show to manufacture a relationship with Kristin to keep him in the public eye.” Cavallari herself denied a genuine romance on an April 2025 episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, stating, “Not one time did I see him outside of filming,” and that she only kissed him “when they asked me to kiss him on camera.”
Chris Evans
In 2008, Kristin Cavallari was rumored to be dating actor Chris Evans, but she clarified to Us Weekly at the time that they were “just friends.” She reiterated this on her podcast in April 2025, stating, “I never dated Chris Evans. Never, ever, ever, ever. Didn’t even go on one date. Literally nothing ever happened,” explaining they simply “saw each other socially.”
Jason Statham
While Kristin Cavallari was linked to actor Jason Statham in 2009, she never publicly addressed the rumors. However, her friend Justin Anderson referred to Statham as her “hottest hookup she never told anyone about” in a November 2024 Instagram video. Cavallari, who was present in the video, did not confirm or deny the claim.
Jay Cutler
Kristin Cavallari began a serious relationship with NFL player Jay Cutler in 2010, and they became engaged after dating for eight months. The couple married in June 2013 and had three children together: sons Camden and Jaxon, and daughter Saylor. In April 2020, they announced their separation in a joint statement, expressing “great sadness.” Cavallari has since spoken openly about the divorce, calling it “the best thing [she’s] ever done” and a “really scary” decision that took years to execute. She stated that “nothing major happened” but that “it was just time.”
Jeff Dye
After her divorce from Jay Cutler, Cavallari was linked to comedian Jeff Dye. They were seen kissing in October 2020, with sources describing it as a “casual dating situation” that was “super hot and fiery.” The pair traveled to Mexico together in November, where they were photographed engaging in public displays of affection. However, their romance reportedly ended after a few months.
Craig Conover
Romance rumors between Cavallari and “Southern Charm” star Craig Conover emerged in 2021. In June 2025, Cavallari addressed these rumors on “Watch What Happens Live,” stating that their friendship became “romantic for two seconds.” When asked if there was “overlap” with Conover’s relationship with Paige DeSorbo, Cavallari indicated that upon seeing a picture of them, she texted him to suggest they “just be friends.”
Chase Rice
In August 2021, Cavallari was briefly connected to country musician Chase Rice, with reports indicating they were “casually dating.” However, Cavallari clarified her relationship status two months later on Instagram, stating, “No one serious … I’ve just been having fun. I haven’t wanted a boyfriend. But I’m currently not dating anyone.”
Morgan Wallen
Kristin Cavallari was romantically linked to country singer Morgan Wallen in 2023. During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” in September 2023, she remained evasive about the nature of their relationship but insisted she was “not dating him.” Her friend Justin Anderson later mentioned in a November 2024 video that Cavallari “kept going back” to Wallen despite him “hurt[ing] her feelings.”
Tyler Cameron
In November 2023, Cavallari candidly spoke about her “hottest” hookup, identifying it as Tyler Cameron. On her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, she described “The Bachelorette” alum as “hotter in person” and “insane.” While she did not specify when the encounter occurred, the two were seen in a steamy photo shoot for an Uncommon James campaign in April 2022.
Mark Estes
In February 2024, Cavallari made her relationship with Mark Estes, who is 13 years her junior, Instagram official. She captioned a selfie of them in Los Cabos, Mexico, “He makes me happy.” Estes also shared a TikTok video of them kissing and hugging. Although initially described as a “casual” and “new” situation, they confirmed their relationship by March and dated for seven months. During this time, they openly discussed intimate details, including Estes’ desire for children with her, his meeting her kids before their first date, and Cavallari stating he was the “best sex” she had ever had. However, they split in September 2024. Cavallari later explained on her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast that she ended the relationship because she knew “long-term it’s not right,” citing their age gap and his need to “experience life.”
Nate Thompson
In a December 2024 episode of the “Dumb Blonde” podcast, Cavallari hinted at dating a “f–king WAG through and through” athlete. In April of the following year, she revealed his identity on her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast as ex-NHL player Nate Thompson, though they had already broken up by then. Cavallari praised their “pure, honest, amazing” connection but admitted she didn’t feel “on fire” for him.
Glen Powell
During the June 2025 premiere of her “Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour” show, Cavallari’s hairstylist, Justin Anderson, revealed that she “dry humped” Glen Powell during a Greece vacation. Cavallari confirmed this dalliance but remained coy about the “Top Gun” actor’s kissing skills during a “Watch What Happens Live” appearance.
Will Hardy
In October 2025, Cavallari shared with her podcast listeners that she had a single date with an unnamed “big deal” coach. She described him as “such a good guy” and enjoyed their conversation, but ultimately concluded “it just wasn’t right.” The following month, Us Weekly identified this mystery date as Utah Jazz coach Will Hardy.
Kristin Cavallari’s journey through love and relationships has been a recurring theme in her public life. From her formative years on reality television to her marriage and subsequent exploration of new connections, her dating history showcases a dynamic personal life lived under the spotlight. Throughout the years, Cavallari has consistently offered candid reflections on her experiences, providing insights into the complexities of navigating relationships while maintaining a public profile.
